25 Labor Day Weekend Recipes that will Keep you Cool in the Kitchen!

It’s going to get extremely hot here in Southern California over this Labor Day Weekend, so with that in mind, here are some delicious recipes to keep you cool in the kitchen over the next few days. Grilling is an easy start to keeping the heat outside, and I have several tasty ways to feed your family, while still enjoying the holiday. Salads, sandwiches and dips are other meals that help to minimize cooking, especially if you don’t want to turn the oven on.

As far as desserts, you can either cook them on the grill, in place of your oven from inside, or pull together some no-bake favorites that will keep you cool and collected, while the temperatures rise. Ice cream is probably going to be the most popular treat over the next few days, however most recipes require a little cooking on the stove top to prepare a custard base, before using an ice cream maker.
