Sometimes the most simple ingredients create the best recipes. Pesto, a nutty-herb based sauce that you can toss with pasta, spread on top of chicken or fish, or in this case, fold into a dip, is easy to make right at home, or buy in any grocery store. I have a pesto recipe posted on my blog, so if you’re going to make it from scratch, look no further.
Folding pesto into a mixture of sour cream, mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese is basically all that is needed to create this creamy dip. It’s loaded with zesty flavor and fun to dip into with salty potato chips. It’s great to serve for parties, or to enjoy while binge watching your favorite Netflix show, but in my case, it’s super fun to eat during the baseball playoffs – Go Dodgers. It makes a great quick appetizer to pull together in a pinch.
1/3 cup pesto sauce, homemade or store-bought
1/3 cup light sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
pinch of salt & pepper
- Add all ingredients to a bowl, stir until creamy smooth.
- Pour into serving bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
