What a fun week! I just spent the last few days with friends in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and boy, did we have a great time. I really needed that. I just love the outdoors, especially during the summer when the weather is perfect in places like Wyoming – not too hot, not too cold. The mountains and landscape are so amazingly beautiful, and it really makes me stop and take notice. Our friends were very generous to share their home and hospitality, and we always seem to have such a good time with them.
Well, I’m back and let’s talk food. We’re already mid-way through August (yikes) and I think we all need to amp-up the grilling while we can. Well, I can grill most days in Los Angeles, but yes, we do have seasons too and I like to change into fall mode once mid-September hits. Let’s kick Monday off with a head of broccoli! What? Yes, broccoli cooked on the grill. Don’t knock it, until you try it. Tuesday we’re staying green with a grilled avocado & corn salad that will blow your mind. On Wednesday we’re having pork and you can’t miss this Asian inspired sauce, and Thursday we’re spatchcocking a chicken and then, throwing it on the grill. Friday is pizza night and these flatbreads are cooked on the grill for an extra crispy crust, and Saturday – it’s a blueberry muffin kinda morning. Gosh this is going to be one tasty week!
Monday – We’re grilling broccoli tonight and the smoky flavors paired with this Middle Eastern oil makes this vegetable dish perfection. You can serve it alone, or grill up some fish and serve it alongside.

Thursday – This lemon chicken is so spectacular and cooks up quicker because you removed the backbone. The arugula oil gives this dish a summertime taste that can’t be beat.
