Happy Labor Day weekend. I hope most of you are doing something fun and cherishing the last weeks of summer. I had an event at Firestone Vineyards on Friday and sold cookies and hand pies, while Live Wire played music and people danced and enjoyed wine in the courtyard. My pop-up bakery business is called Vineyard Girl Bakes and you can check me out on Instagram or on my website. I bake cookies, hand pies, mini-Bundt cakes, tarts and more. I do take special orders and will ship for free on anything $50 and above.
Tomorrow is a holiday, so let’s keep the grilling going with this Grilled Corn with Diavola Butter. It’s so sweet and delicious with spicy notes in the butter. Tuesday is taco time – Turkey Dorados Tacos are crispy, crunchy good and easy to make during the week. Wednesday is Instant Pot Broccoli Macaroni and Cheese – getting a little green, while you enjoy your comfort food. Thursday it’s time to turn up the heat with this Crispy Beef & Mushrooms. It has a few chilies in the recipe that create the perfect balance of flavors. Friday night and these Roasted Cherry Tomato and Robiola Crostini are so tasty with cocktails or a glass of wine. Saturday’s are for baking and my Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb Galette shouldn’t be missed. It’s a seasonal treat that’s beautiful to make right now, while the ingredients are available. Enjoy your shorter week.
