We have a lot to reflect upon this Memorial Day Weekend, not only for those who served our country and sacrificed their lives for our freedom, but all of the people around the world that have lost their lives to this virus. I am especially grateful to our healthcare workers who still risk their safety for others, who do it because it’s part of the job, even under these circumstances. I think about the people who never got to say goodbye to their loved ones, or have a family member hold their hand as they passed. It’s hard to imagine the magnitude of this virus and how it has effected so many, unless you have experienced it first hand. I try my best to stop daily and reflect on people, all people in our country, and abroad who are no longer with us, and hope for a brighter future. We are the lucky ones who get to cook and share food with those we have been sheltering at home with, and I encourage all of you take a little time over this long weekend to think about those who were less fortunate, and who have really made a tremendous sacrifice.
