Even though the Rams have only been back in Los Angeles for two years, we already made it to the Super Bowl! There was a bit of controversy over a call in the playoffs during the game with the New Orleans Saints, but here we are….we made it. When you think about your football party menu, hearty foods come to mind. So I thought I would put together some old and newer recipes to stimulate that game day hunger.
I started with a wing recipe because it wouldn’t be football without chicken wings. I prefer to bake my wings instead of frying for a couple of reasons 1) it cuts down on time 2) and fat. However, I dare anyone to challenge how good they taste, especially with my Korean BBQ Glaze.
Dips and spreads are always a tasty favorite, so I threw a few of those into the mix – just make sure you don’t have any double dippers in your group (it’s flu season). Chili is another robust dish that seems to fit into the football spirit, so don’t forget to whip up a batch of chili for bowls, burgers or hot dogs. Burgers, sliders and sandwiches seem to be another hit with the crowd and easy to eat while you are conversing over the big game, so check out my favorites below.
As far as cocktails, I think most fans go with beer or wine, but if you are looking for some ideas, check out my list of cocktails on my blog. Have fun and remember, don’t drink and drive – Go Rams!
