You can make sliders in many varieties like turkey, chicken, pork and vegetarian, but these Beef and Cheddar Sliders with Caramelized Onions seem to always be a favorite.
Beef has rich meaty flavor and tastes delicious with a slice of good cheddar cheese, especially when melted over the top. Caramelized onions are a beautiful addition on stop of these sliders and adds a slight sweetness to each bite.
Cooking sliders can be done outside on the grill or in an iron skillet, as I did in this recipe. Using an iron skillet creates a crispier crust on each patty — just remember the cooking time is rather quick because the size of the burgers.
I love a good slider because you get all the goodness of a full sized burger, but in a more compact form. These sliders are great with potato wedges or a side of coleslaw and they make pretty fun party food.
