Happy Sunday and it sure feels like fall these last few days, and I am loving it. Food tastes so good in cooler weather I’m all about soups, stews and slow-cooked meals. I love to fill my kitchen with some of the best aromas, which usually begins by sauteing onions in olive oil or butter and building from there.
I kick off the week with a delicious Sweet Potato, Lentil and Andouille Sausage Curry Stew. The flavors are warm, earthy and slightly sweet, which hit the spot on a chilly night. Tuesday is Halloween and we’re making Creepy Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting for a spooktacular evening with the kids. Sheet Pan Miso Glazed Salmon with Broccoli is what’s on the menu Wednesday. It’s super quick and loaded with umami taste. Thursday is soup night and my Chicken Sausage, Cabbage and Pasta Soup is spectacularly easy using simple ingredients. Friday means it’s cocktail time with a warm and comforting Manhattan. Saturday’s are for baking and this week we’re going with a tasty brunch dish – Zucchini, Mushroom and Cheddar Frittata. It’s a great meal to share with family and friends on the weekend. Have a delicious week.
