Christmastime is about celebration and what better way to bring in good cheer than with a Rum Punch Cocktail that’s mixed with fresh citrus juices, Luxardo cherry syrup and rum. It’s all prepared in one glass, and swirled together with a spoon, before crushed ice, an orange slice and fresh mint top it off.
You can make it in a pitcher and quadruple the recipe to serve four people, but I like to make them one-at-a-time to give each and every drink that special touch. Cheers!
2 ounces dark rum
2 tablespoons grapefruit juice
2 tablespoons orange or tangerine juice
1 teaspoon Luxardo cherry syrup or other cocktail cherries brand
1-2 Luxardo cherries
orange or citrus bitters, optional
sprig of fresh mint
(Makes 1 Cocktail)
- In a highball glass – add rum, grapefruit and orange juices. Drizzle in Luxardo syrup and 1-2 cherries, stir with a cocktail spoon.
- Add crushed or cubed ice, stir to combine. Shake 3 dashes bitters on top of cocktail.
- Place slice of orange and mint on top. Enjoy!
