Pomegranate Orange Gin & Tonic – Recipe!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Tis’ the season for great cocktails and this Pomegranate Orange Gin & Tonic is super tasty.  I like to think of it as a kicked-up gin & tonic because pomegranate juice and a splash of Grand Marnier really make this drink festive and fun.  This holiday season most of us will serve some sort of cocktail for our guests as we gather, and this cocktail is both familiar – good gin and classic tonic – yet different enough to taste special.

Choosing a gin is the first step in preparing this drink.  I went with Aviation Gin because it has nice balance and not too heavy on the floral notes.  Fever Tree is my choice of tonic, it costs a bit more, but worth every splash in the glass.  The combination of pomegranate and citrus are classic holiday flavors and when added to a gin & tonic, this cocktail becomes slightly fruity with a clean finish.  Prepare it straight in the glass and watch the colors pop against the ice cubes and top it off with a slice of pomegranate and an orange.
