Mixed Berry Chocolate Trifles – Recipe!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

These Mixed Berry Chocolate Trifles are a combination of chocolate-berry fun and super simple to make with either leftover chocolate cake, or store-bought cake.  This treat is all about layering ingredients; like chocolate cake pieces, mixed berries and freshly whipped cream in your favorite glasses.

When I recipe test, sometimes things don’t always work out, so I create another recipe with the flop.  My berry chocolate trifle is made with a chocolate angel food cake that fell out of the pan onto the cake plate in pieces, so I scooped it up and made this delicious dessert.  You can always buy a chocolate loaf cake or a couple slices of chocolate cake from your local grocer to make this dessert.

Whipped cream with soft peaks taste so divine over berries, but when you spoon down toward the bottom of the glass and taste bits of chocolate cake crumbs, it makes that whole experience even better.  It’s so easy to make and tastes as divine as if you if it took hours to prepare.
