Tis’ the season for decadent cocktails and this martini will surely make you sing. If you’re an eggnog person, like me — you will love this drink. It’s a creamy concoction of Kahlua, vodka, chocolate liqueur (like Godiva) and eggnog, making it the perfect combination of holiday flavors in one glass. I poured it in stages over one big cube of ice for a layered look because I think it’s marvelous that way, but you do need to stir it up before sipping to experience the full taste of the cocktail.
I think it’ll be the hit at any party, or small gathering with friends and will probably make good use of some of those bottles of liqueurs you’ve been storing since before the pandemic began. Even if you don’t like sweet drinks, consider it dessert “up” in a glass, and go for it. It’s that good! I’m sure you will look at it as Christmas came a week early when you’re sipping away slowly out of a tall martini glass next to the fire. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 ounce Kalua
1 ounce chocolate liqueur, like Godiva
2 ounces Vodka
2 ounces eggnog, light or regular
ice
(Makes 1 Cocktail)
To Prepare:
- In a martini glass, add one big ice cube or a few medium sized cubes.
- Add Kalua and chocolate liqueur.
- Add vodka and then eggnog. Serve before stirring, just for presentation sake. Enjoy!
