Many of us enjoy a bourbon libation during the week or on the weekends and this cocktail, Bourbon Orange Cider, is a deliciously easy drink to prepare. You can make this drink with any type of bourbon, but one of my favorites to use is Four Roses, Small Batch. It has a little spice to it without being too overpowering, and it is also smooth enough for those who are not familiar with the taste of bourbon.
The combination of apples and oranges pair nicely with the warmth of the bourbon and it is also great with small appetizers like cheese and charcuterie. You can triple or quadruple the recipe and mix a larger batch of this cocktail in a pitcher, or prepare them one at a time.
Ingredients
2 ounces Bourbon
1 fresh orange
4 ounces apple cider
(Makes 1 Cocktail)
To Prepare:
1. In a glass filled with ice, add 2-ounces of Bourbon.
2. Slice the orange into quarters and squeeze the juice from one quarter into the glass.
3. Fill the glass to the rim with apple cider, about 4 ounces and stir to combine.
4. Slice a piece of orange for the rim of the glass and serve. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
