Food Processor Peach Sherbet – Recipe!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Warmer weather dictates homemade ice cream and in this case — creamy, cool and oh-so-lovely Peach Sherbet.

A food processor is your best friend when you want to make a quick and easy peach sherbet.  A bag of frozen peaches, some half & half and a drizzle of honey quickly become a frozen treat worth an indulgence. The flavors are sweet and magical and who knew that all it took was a bag of peaches from the freezer section.

I love the idea of having a homemade option when it comes to frozen desserts.  Sherbet is something we used to eat quite often as kids, and now it’s my new favorite treat to whiz up in my food processor at a moment’s notice.

To Prepare:

  1. In a food processor, add peaches and half & half.  Puree for 2 minutes to break down peaches.
  2. Add 1/3 cup honey and 1/2 cup water and continue to puree until smooth.  Add more water if necessary to become smooth.
  3. Spoon into a loaf pan and drizzle top with remaining honey.  Freeze in freezer for 1 1/2 hours before scooping into bowls, or eat soft serve.  Enjoy!
