Eatalian Cafe – Gardena

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Eatalian Cafe has been open for over three years now and owner Antonio Pellini continues to create some of the most authentic casual Italian cusine in Los Angeles.  Pellini is from Ventoso, a small village in Emilia-Romagna region and this is where he grew up making fresh pasta and pizza.  Eatalian 005-thumbnail 300

The space is very industrial and it is located just off Redondo Beach Blvd on Broadway in Gardena.  The place is enormous with a pizza oven and pasta area as well as a bakery and cheese making facility.  No reservations are taken but you won’t wait long due to the ample amount of tables.  Eatalian 007-thumbnail 300

As for the food, well go with the freshly made pasta like porcini fettucini.  The noodles were al dente and not swimming in sauce.  The mushrooms gave this dish a great earthy flavor which was clean but decadent.  As for the pizza, the thinnest crust I have eaten in Los Angeles.  Eatalian chefs roll it out in a sheeter so the crust is wafer thin and crispy.  The sauce was tangy with fresh sliced proscuitto and arugula on top.  Delicious pizza and not too heavy.  Eatalian 010-thumbnail 300

Don’t skip the gelato!  You can sample flavors in the bakery and bring it back to your table to enjoy —  fresh, creamy and housemade daily!  Eatalian 011-thumbnail 300
