Lately Vodka Gimlets have been my drink of choice. Maybe it is the smooth lime flavor or the ease in the way it goes down, but I just love them. I thought I would make my own version of a Vodka Gimlet by adding fresh Lemon Cucumber. If you haven’t tasted a lemon cucumber, you don’t know what you are missing. These little spheres are deep yellow in color and the flesh looks similar to a regular cucumber. However, the taste is slightly citrusy, which is perfect in this Lemon Cucumber Vodka Gimlet. If you can’t get your hands on a Lemon Cucumber, use a regular cucumber for a fun twist on a traditional Gimlet.
Ingredients
1/2 lime
2 slices, lemon cucumber
1 teaspoon agave nectar
3 ounces vodka, your choice
ice
(Makes 1 Cocktail)
1. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lime in a martini shaker or jar.
2. Next, add the Lemon Cucumber slices and agave nectar.
3. Add the vodka and 1 cup ice to the mixture and using a dowel or wooden spoon handle, muddle the lime, cucumber, agave and vodka together, about 1 minute.
4. Strain your Lemon Cucumber Vodka Gimlet into your favorite glass. Enjoy!
