5-Ingredient Raspberry Walnut Crumb Tart – Recipe!

The holidays are in full swing and there’s nothing better than a festive dessert to kick off a party or small gathering, like this Raspberry Walnut Crumb Tart.  It’s fruity, nutty with a buttery crust — and did I mention, only five ingredients.

This tart recipe only has a handful of ingredients, mostly pantry items that you probably already have on hand.  The crust is also the crumb topping, which cuts down on preparation time, and keeps things simple in the kitchen.  A jar of good raspberry jam is what makes this tart pop with luscious raspberry flavor and makes an easy filling for this dessert.

The taste is definitely holiday-esque and a slice makes the perfect ending to a delicious meal.  You could also serve this crumb tart on a dessert buffet or give the whole thing away as a gift — an ideal holiday treat.

1 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour

1 cup whole walnuts

2 tablespoons sugar

8 tablespoons cold butter, diced

13 ounces raspberry jam

(Serves 6-8)

To Prepare:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  In a food processor, add flour, walnuts and sugar.  Pulse until coarse crumbs.
  2. Add butter and pulse until fine crumbs, about 1 minute.
  3. Add half of crumbs to a removable bottom 9-inch tart pan.  Press up into bottom and up sides.  Place on sheet pan and bake for 10 minutes.  Remove from oven.
  4. Add jam to center of tart and spread evenly to edges.  Press remaining crumbs in hand to create rough clumps and sprinkle over top of tart.
  5. Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.  Remove and let cool to room temperature before slicing.  Enjoy!
