I thought I would get a jump on the long Labor Day Weekend with some fabulous recipes to prepare for friends and family. We’re not saying goodbye to summer just yet because we still have a few weeks left, according to the calendar, and if you live in a warm state, barbecueing never seems to really go away during most of the year. However after the weekend, fall seems to start creeping in quite quickly, so let’s make some delicious food with summertime ingredients to put a spectacular finish to one of the best seasons.
Labor Day is about hanging outside with your family and friends and grilling is always at the forefront of most menus. I will begin this weekend with some exceptional food, starting with appetizers and ending with fruit-filled desserts (I couldn’t leave baking out of it, now could I). So, kick off your shoes and run them around a sandy beach, grassy park, or keep them on and head up the trails for a heartfelt hike, and then it’s time to eat, laugh and enjoy.
