Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s time to dust off those barbecues and keep them out for the next six months or more, especially if you’re from Southern California. On Monday, it’s Memorial Day and we definitely need some delicious grilled food to celebrate this day and my Cedar Plank Asian Grilled Salmon is super tasty, and one of my favorite things to eat. Tuesday night means something hot and spicy needs to happen and these Grilled Korean Hot Wings can’t be any more delicious. Grilling wings make them much healthier and less fatty than frying without losing out on flavor – don’t pass them up – give them a try.
On Wednesday night we’re going with beef and this Grilled Double-Thick Ribeye with Padron Pepper Relish is bursting with deliciousness. I like to buy a super thick ribeye and slice it up for the whole table. Padron peppers are mildly spicy, so everyone’s palate can handle the heat and enjoy a savory topping to their steak (You can substitute Padron with Poblano or Shishito peppers). Thursday is salad night and my Grilled Gem Lettuce Salad with Green Goddess and Bacon is a meal in itself. It’s hardy and delicate all at the same time — a springtime favorite.
Friday night means simplicity is best and this Avocado Hummus is great with a glass of white wine or cool cocktail and it only takes a few minutes to puree it up. Saturday’s are for baking a Very Vanilla Celebration Bundt Cake because there are so many things to celebrate — graduations, weddings, and birthdays of course. Have a tasty week ahead.
