A Week At A Time – Meal Ideas!

Happy Sunday and I hope you had a nice holiday.  New Year’s is in a few days and whether you are staying in with a few friends or tripin the life fantastic — it’s time for some fun.

Monday night can be a precursor to New Year’s Eve or you can lay low with a simple plate of Fresh Tomato Calabrian Chili Shrimp, which might seem like a better plan.  You can substitute canned tomatoes if fresh are unavailable and achieve similar results.  New Year’s Eve on Tuesday invites small bites to pair with cocktails or a little bubbly, and these Brie and Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms will surely do the trick.  In the south, black-eyed peas bring luck and prosperity on New Year’s Day and this Cheesy Double Bean Dip is fun to enjoy while watching the Rose Parade, or your favorite college football game.  Thursday is a day many people begin their resolutions of eating healthier or a bit cleaner and this Curry Chicken with Chickpeas is delicious and good for you comfort food.  Friday morning yields a fresh start and these Raspberry Swirled Yogurt Parfaits will bring a bright beginning to your breakfast table.  Saturday’s are for baking and this Whole Wheat Apple Walnut Bread is a great way to start the day and the whole grains are an added benefit.  Have a Happy New Year!
