A Week At A Time – Meal Ideas!

Happy Sunday!  It’s just a few days until Christmas and my family has already arrived.  Mealtime becomes an assortment of simplified dishes that please palates and warm hearts for the days to come.

Monday is the eve before Christmas Eve and a big batch of Mushroom, Keilbasa and Lentil Soup sounds perfect for a cozy evening indoors in front of a roaring fire.  Tuesday is Christmas Eve and we usually have Mexican food.  My Slow-Cooker Carnitas Street Tacos are tender and delicious and feed a crowd before heading to church this evening.  Wednesday is Christmas and a Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Tomatoes always tastes and looks so beautiful on this special day.  Thursday is post Christmas and a Broccoli Cheese Strata before most of the family heads home seems like a delightful idea.  On Friday, a post holiday cocktail is in order and this Pomegranate Orange Gin and Tonic tastes so seasonally delicious after a busy week.  Saturday’s are for making these individual Mixed Berry Chocolate Trifles and they taste wonderful for a dinner party or smallish gathering.  Have a lovely holiday week ahead.
