New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and I am counting down the days to a big celebration. Whether you are throwing a grand engagement, smaller party for eight or staying home with that special someone, here are some delightful recipes to bring in the New Year.
On New Year’s Eve most people like to dress up a little – even if it’s dusting off that special sparkly sweater, so the food needs to fit the occasion and be a little more fantastic. Small plates, dips and spreads are usually the typical fare, but sometimes it’s nice to throw in something a little hardier, so the guests don’t get too tipsy.
Cocktails are always involved on New Year’s and I like to provide a few different options, so my guests have something to choose from at the party. Champagne is a must and it’s always fun to spruce it up with a little splash of juice or bitters. Just remember, the food and drinks don’t need to be complicated – just fun and festive.
