Barbecue S’mores – Recipe

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

There’s nothing better than roasting marshmallows over an open fire and sandwiching them between two graham crackers with a wedge of chocolate, but sometimes an open fire is hard to find.  This recipe is simple, delicious and satisfies your gooey marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker desires without a lot of fuss.

A standard gas or charcoal barbecue is your source of heat and with a few ingredients, you have dessert.  I love to use cinnamon graham crackers and Ghirardelli Chocolate to make them extra special, but the standard grahams and Hershey’s Bar is just as delicious.  S’mores are such an American past time and with this recipe you can have them almost anytime.

Ingredients

1 bag large marshmallows

1 large Ghirardelli salted dark chocolate caramel bar or several squares

1 package cinnamon graham crackers

aluminum foil

BBQ or oven

To Prepare:

1.  Preheat a gas BBQ on medium high heat for 10 minutes or turn off your grill if you used it prior to cooking the s’mores.  On a 12-inch square of foil place half a graham cracker, 1 square of chocolate and 2 large marshmallows.  Place the second half of the cracker on top of the s’more.
